This guide describes how to install an ETHICS certificate on your local computer.

## Instructions

The guide assumes that you are already logged in to your ETHICS account.

1. When you are logged in, you can click the menu button in the top right corner of the platform and choose “Certificate” in the menu.
2. This opens our certificate module in which you can issue a new certificate for your ETHICS account and test signing with your certificate.
  
3. To request a new certificate you simply provide your ETHICS account password and press “Issue via email”. When you receive the email containing the certificate you have to save the certificate on your computer and double click the file to install it.
  
4. When installing the certificate you simply have to click next, until your asked to provide a password which is the password to your ETHICS account. After providing your password you just need to click next again until you can finish the installation.

 

> ℹ️ In some cases your computer will ask if you trust the issuer of the certificate, which you have to answer yes to in order for the certificate to work.
