--- title: "Watching a Business Opportunity" canonical: "https://support.mercell.com/space/MKB/196727537696/Watching%20a%20Business%20Opportunity" format: markdown --- Having discovered a business opportunity in your **[Monitoring Inbox](https://support.mercell.com/space/MKB/196723179544/What+is+the+Monitoring+Inbox)** or through searching in **[Explore](https://support.mercell.com/space/MKB/196544561199/What+is+Explore)**, you may wish to ensure you receive all future updates, as well as contract awards decisions for the business opportunity in question. ‘Start watching’ a business opportunity means you will receive notifications both via email and within the platform. These updates may include important publicly available information, such as changes to the tender type, estimated value, or duration. Additionally, you can receive alerts when a colleague (who is also a *Mercell Bidding* user) comments on the opportunity. To get these alerts, ensure the *Comment updates* option is enabled in your **[Notification settings](https://support.mercell.com/space/MKB/195984720151/Account+notification+settings)**. ## How to start watching a business opportunity Start watching a business opportunity with the click of a button: 1. Navigate to the desired business opportunity card within Explore or your Monitoring Inbox 2. Select the eye icon on the right-hand side to begin watching immediately > ℹ️ To **stop watching** a business opportunity, you can either **deselect the eye icon** on the opportunity card within the tender summary page or use the option in the email notification you receive. > ℹ️ > ℹ️ **Good to know:** If you **Save** the opportunity, the Watch feature is automatically enabled. The opportunity will then appear on your Home page **My Opportunities** section for easy access, and you can stop watching it directly from there without needing to search for the opportunity card. *Article Ref: 060120260934*
