When a new user registers under a company that is already subscribed to Mercell Tendering and Bidding, they will receive role type User within the company account. The User must then be ‘approved’ by the Organisational Administrator before they can fully access the account. Assigning of user roles is a critical step to make that approval. The role type User must at least be replaced by Basic User. This is a step-by-step guide to adding or changing roles to new users in your organisation. The same steps are also followed to make changes to roles for existing users. Only Organisation Administrator can add roles to users. Note: The first person to register an account for the organisation will automatically become the Organisation Administrator . This administrator will then need to assign roles to the colleagues who register after them. Click the settings icon in the navigation menu to the left. Click ‘User management’ under general settings Open the user’s details by selecting Edit via the 3 line menu on the right side of the user. Click Roles to View and Edit which rights the user currently has If the user is connected to multiple organisations make sure to select only the relevant organisation where the user applies. Then click Edit to manage the roles (step 5). Select the roles the user should have and press ‘Save’. If the user should have multiple roles it is possible to select multiple roles. It is also possible to have multiple administrators for an organisation. If the role type User is currently selected this must be replaced by Basic User. All users must be at least a Basic User (the User role is only active immediately after registration of a new account, where the company is already registered). Administrator role can be added in addition to a Basic User role. The change in role is then effective immediately. Related articles
